Health and
safety policy
Agada Investment limited is an
energetic team of individuals thoroughly trained, skilled and capable of
meeting up with the general standards of health and safety. We are indeed a
strong team determined not to fall short of any regulation whatsoever whether
internal or external especially the government regulations regarding health and
safety of the people and the community at large. In order to make this
accomplishment, we have rules to guide ourselves and also appropriate penalty
to be assigned to defaulters. In other words Agada investment limited presses
to enforce these policies in order not to be held for any misconduct or
incompetence in their business environment and to be accounted worthy and build
the best reputation in our business society.
Here are some basic rules to the
health and safety policy of the company.
1.
All
staffs working at the plant or participating in assignments subject to harzards
must wear their complete plant suit especially safety goggles, helmet, safety boots, gloves and other prescribed wears
as directed by supervisor.
2. There must be no smoking at the company plant
or residential area. Offenders will be subject to appropriate disciplinary
measures as to serve as a deterrent to others.
3. Drivers within the plant or residential area
should not drive above the regulated speed limit usually 30-40 Km/h and
strictly adhere to the zebra crossing rule.
4. Seatbelt must always be worn by both
passengers and drivers in any vehicle driving within the company’s
administrative, industrial and residential areas.
5. On no account should any staff discharge
duties in office, plant or any workstation whatsoever in an ill or weak
condition. Supervisor should grant work free days to any staff exhibiting any
form of fatigue and follow up with the appropriate treatment procedure.
6. Overworking off staffs is highly unacceptable
as managers must not accommodate staffs to work beyond their ability. Managers
and supervisors should strictly comply to this.
7. Do not Operate a machine without sufficient
information about the machine.
8. Operating of machines alone is highly
unacceptable.
9. Campaigns on health and safety must be
organised by all departments regularly for enlightment of health and safety
among staffs and community.
10. It is our objective to create a conducive
environment for health and safety of our organisations, staffs and community at
large.
11. Fire extinguishers should be readily available
and easily sighted at all company buildings and offices including most residential
buildings around the company.
12. The company’s Fire emergencies hotlines
should be made public to every one in the company and all staffs must know the
hotline.
13. All staffs must be sensitive and vigilant especially concerning
fire outbreak. In addition, staffs who are not trained for fire emergencies
should not participate in fire fighting emergencies.
14. There must be emergency exit doors at every
of the company’s buildings including residential areas buildings.
15. All staffs must be conscious of their health and safety in all operations they are.
16. All staffs must be available and participate
on health and safety day.
17. The company should have a reserve of over 1000
metric tons of fire extinguisher and
various fire extinguishers for all types of fire. There should be abundance of
fire extinguisher especially at the plant as all staffs should be trained
regularly for fire fighting.
Listed above are the health and safety
policies of this company. We also advise staffs to visit the health center from
time to time on a regular basis. It will be delightful that we observe that all
staffs adhere strictly and none fall short of these policies. It is our responsibility that all this standards are
met irrespective of sentiments and convenience’s. lives and properties must be well protected.
No staff or contractor of this organisation should fall short of any of
this policies as such. Any form of non-compliance
would directly lead to termination of appointment or contract.
